Entering the last stage that the participants of the 2024 MEDSCAPE Biology Olympiad of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Muhammadiyah Malang (FK UMM) are awaiting. The final of the national level olympiad was held at GKB 4 UMM with five teams remaining (9/11).
As conveyed by Deddy Rifki Pramudya Hasym as the Chief Executive of MEDSCAPE, the five teams are SMAS Ar-Rohmah Putra Dau Malang, MAN 2 Kediri City, SMAN 1 Pamekasan, SMAN 2 Sidoarjo, and MA Unggulan Amanatul Ummah.
The Final Round was presented in a series of smart events with a jury from the lecturer of FK UMM, namely dr. Annisa Hanifwati. M.Si and Dr. Noviana Dwi Lestari, M.Sc. The questions given were about anatomy, physiology, histology, and biology with the theme of respiration and cardiovascular.
From the five teams, three teams were obtained who managed to bring home the champion along with their rewards with a total cash of Rp. 6,500,000, a trophy, and a certificate. The winners were SMAS Ar-Rohmah Putra Dau Malang (1st place), SMAN 2 Sidoarjo (2nd place), and MA Unggulan Amanatul Ummah (3rd place). The three winners also received special bonus points to register at FK UMM.
In addition, Deddy representing the entire MEDSCAPE committee also congratulated the winners. For teams that have not managed to qualify, it is also conveyed that they remain enthusiastic and never give up to be the best at the next opportunity.
